50/50 CLUB - THE RULES

Deveronvale Football Club

  1. The name of the draw is ‘Deveronvale Football Club Members 50/50 Club’ regardless of the number of members - hereafter, referred to as ‘50/50 Club.’

  2. The 50/50 Club will be operated under the Gambling Act 2005 and is registered as a small society lottery with Aberdeenshire Licensing Board.

  3. The objective of the 50/50 Club is to raise funds for Deveronvale Football Club.

  4. The 50/50 Draw will be administered by the Promoter appointed by the Board of Deveronvale Football Club

  5. The subscription to the 50/50 Club for one draw number shall be £10 per month, payable by standing order in advance on the first day of each month. Participants may also pay annually in advance by Standing Order, Cheque (made payable to Deveronvale FC) or cash. This will give members one number which will then be placed into the draw each month. Draw numbers shall sequentially be numbered from one (1 ) onwards. This number shall remain the member’s throughout, provided that their subscription is up to date. The Promoter reserves the right to reallocate any number where payment has not been received.

  6. Members may have more than one number, for an additional £10 per month per number.

  7. A member is eligible for inclusion in the draw so long as the subscription for that month has been paid.

  8. Making payments to join the 50/50 Club directly by standing order into the Deveronvale Football Club 50/50 Club account deems that participants agree to the 50/50 Club rules. Participants may also pay annually in advance by Standing Order, Cheque (made payable to Deveronvale FC) or cash.

  9. The 50/50 Club is open to anyone aged 16 or over.

  10. There shall be one prize draw per calendar month. The draw for each month will be made as close to the 15th of each month.  The draws will be made in the presence of at least two members of Deveronvale Football Club Management Committee – all participants are entitled to attend the draw.

  11. The total income collected will be split 50% prize money and 50% to Deveronvale Football Club funds, after modest running costs have been removed. Running costs should not exceed 5% of the monthly total of 50/50 Club income. From that 50% prize monthly income, there will be 3 monthly prizes: First prize 30%, Second prize 15%, Third prize 5%. These will drawn in the following order : 1st Prize, 2nd Prize and 3rd Prize.

  12. The winners of each draw along with the winning numbers will be announced on the Deveronvale Football Club website, Twitter and the Deveronvale FC Facebook News Page.  Winner’s cheques will be sent directly to them at the last known address held by the Promoter. It is the responsibility of the participant to advise the Promoter of any change of address. Any cheques not cashed within 6 months will be deemed to be a donation to Deveronvale Football Club.

  13. Member’s details will be held on record for 50/50 Club purposes only.

  14. The 50/50 Club will commence in July 2015 providing a minimum of 20 (draw numbers) have been allocated and paid for by the date of the first draw. If the 50/50 Club does not run then any amounts received in respect of the 50/50 Club will be refunded.

  15. The Deveronvale Football Club members 50/50 Club reserves the right to make changes to the rules as it sees fit. Any changes will be notified to participants via the Club Website, Facebook and Twitter pages.

  16. Participants can cancel their entry on the 50/50 Draw at any time by giving one month’s written notice to the Promoter. Any decision by the Club to end the 50/50 Draw will also be by one month’s notice to all Participants.

  17. Under no circumstance can subscriptions be refunded.

  18. The Promoter will determine any dispute. An appeal can be made to the Board of Deveronvale Football Club whose decision will be final.

  19. The Promoter of the Lottery scheme is Kenny Christie. The Promoter was appointed by the Directors of Deveronvale Football Club at a Board Meeting and they will be responsible for appointing future replacement Promoters.

  20. The Directors of Deveronvale Football Club will be responsible for appointing two persons for submitting lottery returns to the Aberdeenshire Licensing Board within three months of the date of each lottery and these will formally be appointed at a Deveronvale Football Club Board Meeting.

 

These rules were adopted at a Board Meeting of the Directors of Deveronvale Football Club on the 5th of January 2015.
