Vale Players Help Out

During the current lockdown period Deveronvale’s players and management have held a couple of quiz nights by Zoom. The players and management have all paid an entry fee in order to raise funds for use in the local community in the current tough times everyone is facing.

It was decided to donate half of the money raised after the second quiz to Home-Start Deveron, a local organisation which aims to provide assistance to families in need with the goal of helping them to create a better future. A representative of Home-Start Deveron said, “we very much appreciate this donation by the Vale, every bit of help is extremely important at the present time and it’s great that the players want to give something back to the community”.

Efforts to continue raising money and support other local charities are continuing and some donations have also been promised to support this effort. Further news on these efforts will be posted in due course.

The players are also keen to provide help to others and propose to drop off aid packages to those in need, whether families, individuals or care homes. The aid packages will be bought locally and packaged by Cheyne’s of Banff who have kindly volunteered to help. This will also see us keep everything local to the community. If you know of deserving cases please contact the Club through a private email to our Facebook page and the delivery of a package by one of the Vale players will be arranged.
