Fans will be aware that pre-season friendlies have started but these are subject to a strict COVID-19 protocol and, unfortunately, are also strictly “closed door” matches with no fans or press being allowed entry.
The hope remains that the SHFL season will kick-off on Saturday 17th October, with fans in attendance, but this is dependent with the Scottish Government deciding that the country can enter Phase 4 of Lockdown Easing. The next review of the situation is scheduled for Thursday 1st October.
With a possible return to football in October the plan is for the Donate a Ticket website to close at the end of September. This has been an extremely helpful initiative which has raised more than £260,000 in support of 116 Scottish football clubs during the past months and a big thanks has to go to the guy who founded the campaign, Raith Rovers fan Ruaridh Kilgour, and the guys who have supported him in this effort.
The Club would like, once again, to thank everyone who has contributed. The support has been very much appreciated.
The current Highland League “Donate a Ticket” table is shown below, as is the link for making donations.
