Former Vale Chairman Passes Away

All at Deveronvale were saddened to hear of the passing of Bob McLardy on 16th June at the age of 75. Bob was a director of the Club for 6 and a half years and also served as Club chairman from June 2012 until June 2014.

After leaving the Deveronvale board, Bob continued his community service at Princess Royal Park, taking on the role of President of Princess Royal Sports & Community Trust following the passing of Sydney Mair in February 2019.

Vale chairman Jim Mair said: “Bob’s contribution to Deveronvale and to PRSCT, after his retirement from his long teaching career where he finished as Principal Teacher of Modern Languages at Banff Academy, reflected a commendable willingness to make a significant contribution to the local community. Our sincere condolences at this very sad time go to his wife Moira and children, Laura and Iain”.

A minute’s applause to mark Bob’s service to the local community will be held at a Deveronvale home match early in the new football season.
