Aaron looking to make his mark at Princess Royal Park

Vale defender Aaron Hamilton is looking to put the disappointment of the curtailed 2020/21 season behind him and make a real impression in the new campaign.

The big defender, who joined the Vale from Forres Mechanics, recently signed a new contract with the club and has caught the eye of manager Craig Stewart in the few games he’s played so far.

Looking towards the upcoming season, Aaron is keen to make life difficult for visiting teams.

“Collectively I want to make Princess Royal Park a fortress, a tough place for opponents to come to, particularly with the support of the fans behind us. Individually I want to get back to my best with no disruptions through injuries”.

He has settled into the club well and is a popular character in the squad. “So far, so good with life at the Vale for me and I’m looking forward to a few team nights out with the lads. I’m still pretty much a newcomer myself with the season cut short last year, only playing a handful of games”.

It’s not just about keeping opposition strikers quiet though for Aaron. “My target is to stay fit and hopefully score a couple of goals while I’m at it. I haven’t had that feeling in long enough”.

The 2021/22 season kicks off in just a few days as the Vale line up against Brora Rangers at Princess Royal Park on Saturday. Kick off is at 3pm.
