Vale took the points on their visit to Lossie yesterday, moving up to 10th position in the SHFL after all the day’s results were in. Lossie, who have now lost all ten of their SHFL home games this season, put in a spirited performance and ran Vale close until the end of the match.
The win was secured thanks to the finishing of Robert Scott who hit his second Vale hat-trick, the first being against Strathspey Thistle last season. Robert has scored five goals in our last two games and has already equalled the goal tally of twelve he managed last season. Well done Robert, keep it going.
Vale’s other goal yesterday was scored by Leszek Nowosielski who got the first half equaliser which got us back in the game. That was Les’s fourth goal of the season and, unfortunately, his last for Vale as he and his wife, Natalia, move back to Poland at the end of the month. We’re all sorry to see you go Les but wish you both the very best back home.
Our next match is away to Nairn County on Saturday 1st December. Nairn won 1-0 at PRP in early August and sit in 13th position, two points behind Vale but with a game in hand. Hopefully we’ll see a few Vale fans at that match and, with that in mind, the Club would like to thank the travelling fans for their vociferous support art Brora, Broch and Lossie. It makes a big difference to both players and management to have their backing.
