Last Saturday saw a significant occasion when the original members of the Valley Crew got together once again some 45 or so years since they formed to lend support to the Club. Valley Crew member Duncan Clark said "Paul Watson, myself and a few others started supporting the Vale around 1965 but the Valley Crew really started in season 1973/74.”

Vale manager Steve Dolan said “We were all really impressed that these loyal supporters of longstanding made the effort to come along and support the team. Unfortunately, we couldn’t deliver the result they and we wanted on Saturday, but we really appreciated their support. Hopefully the next time they get together we’ll be able to deliver the victory their support deserves.
Vale director Neil Montgomery said “it was really great to see all of the guys come together after many years and get behind the Club again. Deveronvale depends on its loyal supporters and we greatly appreciated the guys travelling from near and far to lend their support.”
