GRAEME WATT TESTIMONIAL FOOTBALL MATCH

DEVERONVALE FC V ROSS COUNTY X1 at 7.30pm at PRINCESS ROYAL PARK, BANFF on TUESDAY, 31 JULY, 2018

ADMISSION – ADULTS , £8.00; JUNIORS & CONCESSIONS - £4.00

Graeme Watt is celebrating his Testimonial Year with 3 different events. Back in February, Graeme had a very successful Dinner and Dance and now, on 31 July, there will be a football match as part of his Testimonial celebrations.

Graeme has been a loyal, dedicated player with Deveronvale FC for 19 years, breaking into the first team in 2003, following his journey as a boy, through Deveronvale’s Youth Development Scheme.

Graeme won a Highland League winners’ medal in season 2005-06.

Graeme scored his first goal for Deveronvale in a top of the table clash against Forres Mechanics in March 2006.

One of Graeme’s career highlights was in season 2006 – 07, when Deveronvale won the Aberdeenshire Cup against Inverurie Locos at Keith, where he received Man of the Match, chosen by Joe Harper.

Graeme has enjoyed some very memorable Scottish cup runs.

Graeme scored in the 5 – 4 win against Elgin City.

He also played against Partick Thistle, Peterhead, Stirling Albion, Greenock Morton, Berwick Rangers, Ross County and Albion Rovers.

At his peak, there is no doubt that Graeme was arguably one of the best wingers in the Highland League and had it not been for a few serious injuries, Graeme would have gone on to play at a higher level.

Graeme is undoubtedly wholly committed to Deveronvale FC and to date has made over 275 appearances for the club and scored 65 goals and still counting. Graeme has been fortunate in that the Management and Coaching staff have had great belief in him and helped him in his football career, namely Gregg Carroll, Walter Robertson, Scott Anderson, Charlie Charlesworth and Steve ‘Dippy’ Dolan.

Graeme’s celebrations will conclude with a Golf Day at Duff House Royal on Sunday, 2 September, 2018.
