1983 -1986 (99 games).

Who signed you for the Vale and what attracted you to sign for the club ?

Allan White. The opportunity to play Highland League football, albeit expecting 10 or 12 games maximum.

What are your fondest memories of playing for Vale ?

"Great team-mates, committee and supporters, one big happy family. Ray O'Hara and I went to Banff one Hogmanay and got back to Aberdeen on January 6th." .

What is the most memorable game you played in for Vale ?

1986 Aberdeenshire Cup Final against Huntly at Christie Park. ( We lost 4 - 0). Beating Inverness Caley 2 - 1 at Telford Street, at that time a 5th consecutive victory.

8. Who were the characters at the club ?

Too many to mention them all !!! Ray O'Hara, Davie Wilson, James Pirie, Alan Forbes, Gary "Chubber" MacDonald. Off the park, Scott Crockett and the man who became known as "The Provost", Stewart McPherson.

Who were the best players you played with at the Vale ?

Alan Forbes, Davie "Dinky" Wilson, James Pirie and for his football brain, although past his best Ray O'Hara!

And who were the best players you played against ?

Hamish French - Keith, Billy Urquhart - Caley, and John Suttar - Brora.

What have you done in a football sense since you left the Vale ?

Joined Keith in 1986, playing a club record 616 games. Inverurie Locos (2002 - 2004) Cove Rangers (2004 - 2005) Retired March 2005, aged 40, following a second broken Leg. .

What does a normal Saturday afternoon entail for you these days ?

Now assistant manager with Formartine United. Thoroughly enjoying "learning my trade" on the other side of the fence with former Inverurie Locos and Cove Rangers manager Davie Cormie Thanks for the memories.................
