DOB: 19/06/62

Which years did you play for Deveronvale ?

1982 - 1991.

Who signed you for the Vale and what attracted you to sign for the club ?

Billy Anderson signed me. The Vale were the only team I wanted to play for since watching them as a 10 year old.

What are your fondest memories of playing for Vale ?

Scoring goals and hitting the town after a good win - the team spirit was always excellent.

What is the most memorable game you played in for Vale ?

Aberdeenshire Cup tie away to Cove Rangers in 1989/90. Cove had already made travel plans for the semi-final - we won 3-0, and I scored one of the goals…great stuff !

Who were the characters in the team?

Allan Forbes - always up for a party ! Ray o' Hara - the funniest guy I ever met ! Gary Morrison - crazy guy ! Alec Cormack - the most competitive !

Who were the best players you played with at the Vale ?

Goalkeeper - Neil Clark Defender - Davie Wilson Midfield - Alec Cormack Striker - Graeme Nicol Overall - No doubts, it has to be Joe McAllan (he actually became the first player to play on every senior pitch in Scotland whilst with the Vale !)

And who were the best players you played against ?

Charlie Christie - Inverness Thistle Billy Urquhart - Inverness Caley Louis Duncan - Peterhead Billy Ferries - Ross County I was also lucky to play on the same pitch as Davie Cooper when we played Rangers in a friendly.

What have you done in a football sense since you left the Vale ?

I ran Under 14s and 15s teams for Deveronside 5 years ago, the best of which was Chris Clark, now with Aberdeen. Now I coach teams my son Grant's age, Primary 1,2, and 3 for Deveron Boys..

What does a normal Saturday afternoon entail for you these days ?

I play a bit of golf, enjoy a fixed odds coupon, and watch teletext. But now, more than ever, I take Grant to watch some Vale home games
