For the second Saturday in a row Deveronvale had to settle for a share of the points when hosts Clachnacuddin squeezed an equaliser deep into injury time against nine-man Vale.
Bryan Dlugonski and Nigel Montgomery both saw red as referee Ian Emslie lost his way during a hotly contested and bad tempered match which also saw a further six players booked.
Vale had twice taken the lead during the match through Ian Murray and substitute Barrie Stephen but failed to kill-off the fighting qualities of their Inverness hosts who battled throughout as if their lives depended on it.

Vale came out dawning a brand new Blue away kit, sponsored by 'RBF Offshore', and with boss Gregg Carrol ringing the changes following their last two matches when his side had failed to find their early season form.
Nigel Montgomery was drafted into a three-man central defence, which meant a rare substitutes role for the ever-reliable Matty Kinghorn. Ryan Pressley was also reinstated to the starting eleven in place of the injured Mark Chisholm with Levi Stephen also making up one of the four reserves.
As the game got underway Clach won an early free kick 25-yards from goal but Anderson got his body in the way and cleared for a fruitless corner kick. A neat dribble by Dolan into the visitors box ended with the Dundonian firing high over Rae's goal.
Murray then saw his deep flighted cross bounce off the top of Rae's cross bar and out for a goal-kick with the keeper caught flat-footed and a little relieved of the outcome. Urquhart made a good darting run into home penalty area but his cross to the waiting McAllister was well intercepted by Rae.
Pressley then tested Rae with a long-range grounder, which the keeper smothered comfortably. Polworth was rightly yellow carded for a lunge on Dlugonski as he cleared the ball downfield and he was soon followed into the book by MacCuish as the home side shown the visitors that they were well and truly up for this one.
Montgomery's quickly taken free kick found Urquhart 6-yards from goal but his strike ended up on the wrong side of Rae's left-hand post with Murray in acres of space to his right. It was all Vale and Urquhart passed up another opportunity when he headed straight into Rae's arms following another Montgomery free kick. The Clach number one did well to save at Murray's feet after he had failed to hold Pressley's initial well-struck drive. On the stroke of half time the visiting defence had to scramble the ball clear as the 'Lilywhites' looked to pinch a goal following a high ball, which bounced about Vale's six-yard box.

The visitors kick off the second period and won an early free kick in a dangerous position but Murray fired straight down the throat of Rae. Minutes later, a carbon copy free kick saw Mike McKenzie almost break the Clach cross bar with a tremendous effort which bounced over the top and out of play much to the relief of the noisy home support behind the goal. MacCuish almost broke the deadlock at the other end when he turned Montgomery inside the box only to see his shot creep just wide of Speir's upright with the keeper well beaten. In real cup-tie fashion the game then swung from end to end with no prisoners being taken by either side. Montgomery drove wide before Pressley's deflected effort was palmed away by Rae as Vale continued to push for the opener.
Matheson sliced straight into his own keeper's arms before the visitor's perseverance finally paid off when they took the lead. Ian MURRAY notching his twenty-fifth of the season when he turned home a McAllister cross from close range, although Rae might have done better when his attempt to cut out the ball rather turned it into Murray's path.
Moments later and the points should have been wrapped up for the Banffers. McKenzie released Urquhart through on goal with a brilliant pass but the midfielder fired straight at Rae when either side would surely have ended up in the back of the net. That miss was a costly one and a big turning point in the match as minutes later Vale's Dlugonski was red carded for bringing down J. MacDonald as he ran through on goal. From the resulting free kick MacDonald's namesake made Vale pay dearly as he planted an unstoppable shot past Speirs and into the top corner of the net to level the match. The home side then struck the cross bar with Vale still trying to reorganise their back line following "Dougal's" dismissal. Rae saved at Murray's feet before the visitors were reduced to nine men, Nigel Montgomery being harshly sent off for a tackle from behind on MacCuish when it looked as though he played the ball as well as the man. Barrie STEPHEN replaced Mike McKenzie, with three minutes to go and with his first touch of the ball the substitute fired Vale back in front, running onto a through ball to blast past Rae and into the net via the upright. If the large Vale following thought they had won all three points from their gutsy performance in adversity had deserved then they were wrong. With virtually the last kick off the ball substitute Macmillan sent a looping header beyond the flat-footed Speirs and into the net to give the home side a share of the points.

Vale Boss Gregg Carrol has a serious defensive problem for next week's home match versus league leaders Inverurie Locos.
As well as having Dlugonski and Montgomery suspended Mark Chisholm is struggling with a calf injury which leaves Carrol with only thirteen players to pick from with two of them being goalkeepers!
