Ian Murray scored four times to break Vales all time top goal scoring chart for a season, bring his person tally to 44. Vale galloped to an 8-1 win with Chisholm (2) Brown, and a seasons first for Scott Anderson all scoring. Problems may be a head for Vale's next game as striker Murray had to be strechered off after falling akwardly on the hard, dry Lossiemouth surface, and Vale played the last 10 minutes with 10 men.
With Cove defeating Buckie 3-1 at Vicci Park, Vale will face the Aberdeen side at Princess Royal Park next Saturday. |

Saturday's will see Deveronvale play their first ever game as Champions of the Highland League. Their opponents, ironically are the only team so far to defeat the Banffers in the league; Lossiemouth. Vale's focus is to complete a trophy treble for the season, and complete the Clubs meteoric rise. Manager Gregg Carroll's teams have won all trophies available, apart from the Highland League Cup, despite two final appearances against Forres in the last two years. Mike McKenzie is Vale's only doubt, and the striker will take a late fitness test prior to the Grant street match |

| A Secretary has his say |

"I'd like to pay tribute to the management team of Gregg, Billy and Nigel, the backroom staff of Alister and Lenny, and all the players who have turned our dreams into reality. Their outstanding efforts this season has seen us achieve our ultimate goal...the Highland League Championship, and have made us all extremely proud of our team. I'd also like to pay tribute to our club directors. The club has made such progress in the last few years, they deserve to take great credit for what we've now achieved. At the same time, I'd like to acknowledge the contribution made by previous committees and helpers down through the years, when times were particularly bad, without whose efforts the club might never have survived to see this glorious day. I would also like to mention the fans who were absolutely brilliant on Saturday, as they have been all season. Some had travelled up from England, and even from abroad to be part of such a momentous occasion. We undoubtedly have the best fans in North football, and they deserve to enjoy this special moment for their loyalty over the years."

| Keith set up League Cracker |
26/3/03

Deveronvale and Keith are set for a cracker at Kynoch Park on Saturday. Keith cannot afford to drop any points against Vale, even after a 5-0 drubbing of Nairn which has kept the destiny of the League title in the balance. Vale's other League challengers Cove went down 2-0 to Rothes, ruling then out of the title. So it's all eye's on Keith on Saturday, as Vale hope to bring a large, colourful turnout to the ground that has seen them win their Silverware for the last 2 Season |

Well it's almost there !!!!! 2-0 up through Ritchie Taylor and Bobby Brown and cruising at Harlaw Park, all was going well. Cove were 2-0 up at Keith, and things couldn't have been better for Vale. Then a few minutes of madness, Locos pulled one back, and the blooper of the year from Barry Thompson gave the home side a share of the spoils. Mathematically we haven't won anything, as we still need a point. But with goal difference well on our side, it looks as if the wait for the title may soon be over as our closes rivals, Keith and Cove require full points from their remaining games |

Saturday may be the biggest day in Vale's 65 year history. Sixty four tries to win the league, and so far sixty four disappointments for the Valley Crew. If Vale gain 3pts at Inverurie, and Keith fail to secure full points against Cove, the HFL Trophy will be resident at Princess Royal Park for the next year. Nobody at Princess Royal is taking anything for granted, and Vale will have to be at their best to over come the leagues latest recruits Inverurie Locos |
