Stuart has mountain to climb !   4/3/10
By Stewart McPherson

Co-manager Stuart Glennie, is taking on the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro for charity in October this year. Along with five fellow Aberdeenshire Council employees, they have decided to do this after one of their colleagues was diagnosed with terminal cancer at the end of 2009. They are raising money for the Friends of ANCHOR unit at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

Stuart would be delighted if anyone could help support them by entering a team into a Golf Challenge at Inchmarlo on Thursday 27th May. The day will consist of a fourball competition, target golf competition and other challenges such as ‘Beat the Pro’. All players will receive lunch and an evening meal, which will then be followed by a raffle and small auction. The cost per team is £300, and application forms can be obtained from Linda Legge at the Sports Club.

Linda also has sponsor forms if anyone wishes to support Stuart in his challenge.

Donations can be made by by logging onto www.friendsofanchor.org and click onto the Summit Seekers link on the left hand side of the page or by posting a cheque to Kilimanjaro Sunmmit Seekers, Westdyke Drive, Elrick, Westhill, AB32 6QR. MTT New Year Special   2/1/10
By Allan Forsyth

Happy New Year to you all.
With no football again this weekend, we celebrate Mac the Track's 50th edition, by featuring a prolific goalscorer from the 70s, who returned to the club as player-manager in the mid 90s.

Thank-you to all the former players who have contributed over the last year, and hopefully we'll be able to keep the series going in 2010. Again, if there are any favourite players you'd like to see featured in future editions, please contact the website with your suggestions.

Mac will do his best to track them down for you.

Message from the Chairman   22/12/09
By Stewart McPherson

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the Vale supporters from far and wide for their magnificent support of the club again this season.
We remain one of the best supported clubs in the Scottish Highland Football League and our support is the envy of many a senior club.

Scott and Stuart have kept us in a challenging position as we enter the new year despite an injury list that would have crippled many clubs. This has created opportunities for a number of our young and exciting squad members who have performed well when asked of them. You will I am sure see more of this throughout the season.

I stated at the beginning of the season that all associated with Vale had a big task ahead if we were to regain our place as the leading non-league club in Scotland. I am pleased to report;

* that the supporters continue to follow the team
* the commercial committee (and the re-signing of Eric Wilson) has re-established the pre/post match hospitality to the levels we reached a few years back ,if not ahead of those
* Kenny Christie our Club Treasurer has worked tirelessly to ensure our finances are well understood and reminds us of the financial challenges ahead
* Our main sponsors, Neil Murray Builders Aberchirder, continue to support us financially; Symon Donald of Sytec Engineering has agreed to support our Under 19/21 teams for the season and we have recently secured a main website advertising agreement with The Beaton family, owners of Macduff Shellfish.

Opportunities for the club are ongoing with a potential deal pending in support of our youth set up through our coach, Graeme Burnett and additional website margin advertising is also available for those interested.

Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the managers, coaches, committees, ground staff ,supporters and players of all our teams, from seniors through to the juvenile and girls teams, for their support and commitment to the club.

To you all I wish a very merry christmas with a prosperous and successful new year to follow.

Walter Robertson
Chairman

Ask the Managers   4/12/09
By Stewart McPherson

For the first time, the website is offering the fans the chance to put questions to co-managers Stuart Glennie and Scott Anderson.
With no game this weekend, the managers have agreed to put themselves in the firing line, and will answer questions on issues relating to the team.
A question form is  online now, here or via the left hand menu and these will be forwarded to Stuart and Scott. A selection of the best questions and answers will then be posted on the site.
So get your thinking caps on.....
