Two New Arrivals   3/6/10
By Linda Legge

Vale last night signed Martin Skinner from Huntly and Scott Henry from Ellon United.

Co-Manager Stuart Glennie told the website, "We conceded too many goals as a team last season so we are delighted to bring both players to the Club in positions we feel need more competition for.

Martin is a defender who we have been impressed with when we have played against him.  He is a good reader of the game and is a defender who likes to get the ball down and play from the back.

Scott can play both in midfield and the centre of defence, but it was the latter position that he performed very wll in for our 21's last season and that is where we see him challenging.  He mad a big contribution in helping them lift the 21's title.  Both Huntly and Ellon United have been very good to deal with throughout.

Both players have penned 2 year deals and will join with the rest of the squad when they return to training on 28th June.

Dougal and Dippy Double Deal   28/5/10
By Stewart McPherson

Vale have been boosted by the news that two club stalwarts have agreed to sign new contracts.

Co-manager Scott Anderson revealed to the website this evening "“We are delighted to get Bryan signed up as he is going to be a very important player for us.  His experience and ability is 2nd to none in the Highland League and he has a real desire to play for and win things with Deveronvale.

Dippy has signed on again for his 19th season and as always he will be raring to go come pre season time. His experience will again be invaluable and he will help pass that on to some of our younger players.  He will also continue in the role of Under 21’s manager alongside his playing commitments."

Stephen signs on again   26/5/10
By Stewart McPherson

Young Stephen Gauld has committed his future to the club by signing an extension to his existing contract.
Co-manager Scott Anderson told the website this evening " We are delighted to have signed Stephen on a 2 year contract. Stephen still has a lot to learn about the game but his attacking flair and positive play makes him a very exciting talent and we feel this will be a big season for him. He saw quite a bit of first team football last season and was prominent in the under 21 side that won the league so we look forward to him pushing on from there."
